Role Description:
we don't care about college or credentials. we're looking for people who are 1-of-1.
the Founding Software Engineer will be a key contributor in designing, building, and scaling the core platform that powers travelmaxx’s intelligent travel agents. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing full-stack applications in react + type script + rust, understanding loyalty, scraping data from tough data sources, implementing personalization logic, complete agentic booking, understand agent security, and more. you will be collaborating closely with the founding team on product requirements, creating technical architecture plans, and owning features from concept through deployment and monitoring. This is a full-time, remote role with significant ownership over technical decisions, infrastructure choices, and early engineering culture.
Basic Qualifications
Have worked with AI Agents, run evals, built agent tools, observability, and understand how to spin up many coding agents to ship 100x faster.
A strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-quality applications.
Excellence with cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and security considerations for web services.
Ability to work in a fast-paced early-stage environment, owning projects end-to-end and making pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
startup or founding engineer experience is a plus.
