Senior Vice President of Technology

Role Description The Senior Vice President of Technology is a full-time, remote executive role responsible for setting the overall technology vision and strategy and aligning it with organizational goals. This role oversees enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and data platforms, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and reliable. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring technology leaders, prioritizing and approving key initiatives, and collaborating with senior executives to support product, operations, and customer-facing functions. The SVP will guide IT strategy, drive digital transformation, establish governance frameworks, and oversee major technology projects and programs. The role also involves managing budgets, vendor relationships, risk management, and promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning across the technology organization.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, assess technology performance, and support informed decision making.
Expertise in Information Technology and IT Strategy, including enterprise systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and digital platforms.
Proven experience in Project Management, with the ability to oversee concurrent initiatives, manage resources, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
Demonstrated Strategic Planning capabilities, including long-range technology roadmapping, portfolio management, and alignment with business objectives.
Extensive leadership experience managing large, distributed technology teams and developing senior leaders.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and non-technical audiences.
Experience leading digital transformation or modernization initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP, cloud or security certifications) are beneficial.
