Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Jaipur. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop new collections, including sketches, technical drawings, and detailed design specifications. Daily responsibilities include selecting fabrics and textiles, coordinating colors and embellishments, overseeing embroidery and surface design, and ensuring accurate fitting and alterations. The role involves collaborating with production teams and artisans, reviewing samples, maintaining design quality standards, and staying current with fashion trends and market preferences. The Fashion Designer will also support styling for lookbooks, promotional material, and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, including trend awareness and garment construction.
Hands-on experience with Embroidery and surface ornamentation techniques, with an eye for detail and craftsmanship.
Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric types, properties, and appropriate applications for various designs.
Proficiency in Fitting, pattern understanding, and working closely with tailors to achieve accurate silhouettes.
Ability to sketch by hand or use basic design tools; familiarity with fashion design software is an advantage.
Good communication and collaboration skills for working with in-house teams and external artisans.
Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple designs and deadlines simultaneously.
Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field; prior experience in a fashion house or boutique is preferred.
