Role Description The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing test strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of web and software solutions. This full-time hybrid role is based in Bengaluru, with some flexibility for work from home as project needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed test plans and test cases, performing manual and functional testing, documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and project leads to resolve issues. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will also contribute to process improvements, participate in reviews of requirements and technical specifications, and help maintain quality standards and best practices across projects. In addition, the role may involve mentoring junior QA team members and supporting continuous integration and delivery workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with experience ensuring product stability and adherence to requirements.
Candidates should possess practical expertise in Test Execution and Test Cases, including designing, maintaining, and running test suites for complex applications.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Manual Testing, with the ability to systematically validate functionality, usability, and regression scenarios.
Candidates should possess familiarity with defect tracking tools, test management platforms, and basic understanding of automation concepts.
Relevant experience in web and software development environments, preferably in an IT services or outsourcing context.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to testing.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance or security testing will be considered an advantage.
