Production Support Engineer | Bangalore

About the Role
We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help keep our products and systems running smoothly for our customers. You will watch our systems, find and fix problems, and make sure issues are solved within the agreed time. This is a good role for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work, and cares about giving customers a great experience.
What You Will Do
Monitor our production systems and applications to make sure they are healthy and working well.
Respond to alerts, incidents, and customer issues, and work to solve them quickly.
Look into problems, find the root cause, and work with other teams to fix them.
Manage tickets in our ticketing system from start to finish, and keep them updated.
Follow support processes based on ITIL, such as incident management, problem management, and change management.
Make sure issues are handled within the agreed SLAs.
Use observability tools like Grafana and others to track system health and find issues early.
Work on Linux servers to check logs, run commands, and fix problems.
Support applications running on cloud platforms.
Write and update support documents and notes so the team can learn and improve.
Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams during issues.
Work in 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
What We Are Looking For
1 to 3 years of experience in production support, application support, or a similar role.
Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Good hands-on knowledge of Linux and basic commands.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
Good understanding of support processes and ITIL practices.
Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
Clear understanding of SLAs and why they matter.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A strong sense of ownership and the ability to follow an issue until it is fully solved.
A customer-first mindset and a real interest in giving customers a great experience.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.
Good to Have
ITIL Foundation certification.
Basic scripting knowledge in Shell or Python.
Knowledge of big data streaming applications like Apache Kafka, Kubernetes scaling tools like Karpenter, and basic knowledge of databases and SQL
