L1 Storage Engineer (Hitachi)

Designation: L1 Storage Support Engineer – Hitachi
Experience: 3-5 years
Location: Bangalore (Electronics City)
Qualification: Any Graduate, preference BE/Btech/BCA/BSC/MCA
Key Responsibilities
Monitor Hitachi storage arrays, including deployed Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) models.
Monitor storage array health, controller status, disk status, ports and hardware alerts.
Check storage pool utilisation, allocated capacity and available space.
Monitor IOPS, response time, latency and other available performance indicators.
Check storage dashboards and alerts using available management tools, such as Hitachi Ops Center or Storage Navigator, depending on the deployed platform.
Perform daily health checks and submit reports to the reporting manager

Mandatory Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of Hitachi enterprise storage and VSP architecture.
Understanding of SAN and Fibre Channel fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of LUNs, WWPNs, host groups and storage pools.
Understanding of RAID, disks, controllers and storage capacity.
Basic knowledge of IOPS, throughput, latency and storage utilisation.
Familiarity with storage monitoring dashboards and alert management.
Basic understanding of Windows/Linux servers and VMware environments.
Knowledge of incident management, ticketing and SLA processes.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
