Position description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic product leader to drive the development and delivery of innovative software solutions within the automotive sector. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive software products, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. The successful candidate will lead product vision, roadmap planning, and execution, working closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver high-quality software products that enhance vehicle performance and user experience. This position is based within the Software Delivery department at Visteon, a global leader in automotive technology, and demands a proactive approach to managing complex product lifecycles in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
Define and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned with Visteon's automotive software delivery objectives.
Lead the product roadmap planning, prioritization, and backlog management to ensure timely delivery of software features and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX/UI design, quality assurance, and business stakeholders to translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
Drive agile product development processes, facilitating sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to optimize team performance and product quality.
Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates on product progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations throughout the product development lifecycle.
Mentor and guide junior product owners and team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to integrate third-party technologies and ensure seamless product delivery.
Utilize data-driven decision-making to measure product performance and inform future development priorities.

Educational Qualifications Preferred

Minimum of 7 years of experience in product ownership or product management roles within the automotive software industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products in an agile environment.
Strong understanding of automotive software architectures, embedded systems, and industry standards such as ISO 26262.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.
Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
