Position description: We are seeking an experienced and strategic product leader to drive the development and delivery of innovative software solutions within the automotive sector. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive software products, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. The successful candidate will lead product vision, roadmap planning, and execution, working closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver high-quality software products that enhance vehicle performance and user experience. This position is based within the Software Delivery department at Visteon, a global leader in automotive technology, and demands a proactive approach to managing complex product lifecycles in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
Description:
Creates and manages a software Feature Implementation Plan with product level plan.
Creates and maintains the Software Product Backlog.
Manages external and internal change requests through software backlog items.
Prioritizes and sequences the software backlog items according to product level timing plan.
Ensures stories are made clear to the scrum team and requirements related impediments are resolved on time in coordination with systems requirements team.
Supports Project Leads to define lower-level sprint plans in alignment with project level plans.
In Sprint Planning meetings, conveys vision, prioritization and expectations towards defining sprint goals & Definition of Done (DOD).
In Daily Stand-ups (optional), observes sprint progress and provides inputs that may be vital to the sprint execution.
In Retrospective meetings, provides feedback on improvements for the upcoming sprints.
Adjusts the course of the software project at the end of every Sprint when product level priorities change.
Perform Sprint Review and verify the planned goals are achieved.
Provides software readiness and project’s progress updates to Program Team.
Defect Management Process is the Key aspect of this role.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of Overall 15 years of experience and 7 Years in in product ownership or product management roles within the automotive software industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products in an agile environment.
Strong understanding of automotive software architectures, embedded systems, and industry standards such as ISO 26262.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.
Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
