Role Overview
We are looking for a Solution Architect to design and develop technical solutions for data centre customers, with a focus on infrastructure, commissioning, load banks, and liquid cooling. The role involves working with customers, consultants, OEMs, system integrators, and internal teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Data Centre Infrastructure
Design solutions for data centre power, cooling, and high-density AI/HPC infrastructure.
Understand server and GPU platforms, rack power density, thermal management, and facility integration.
Develop solutions incorporating liquid cooling systems, CDUs, and immersion cooling.
Prepare technical proposals, architecture diagrams, specifications, and bills of materials.
2. Commissioning & Load Banks
Understand data centre commissioning methodologies, including L1–L5 commissioning, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
Develop solutions using conventional and hybrid load banks for data centre testing and commissioning.
Support sizing, configuration, and technical solutioning for Refroid's ThermION Hybrid Load Banks.
Understand testing requirements for UPS systems, generators, power distribution, and cooling infrastructure.
Support commissioning plans, test procedures, technical demonstrations, and customer acceptance requirements.
3. Customer Engagement & Technical Consulting
Engage with data centre operators, hyperscalers, consultants, OEMs, and system integrators.
Understand customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Support RFPs, RFIs, technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and customer evaluations.
Work with sales and engineering teams to develop solutions aligned with customer needs.
4. Commercial Solutioning
Develop TCO and ROI assessments highlighting operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
Support solution costing and preparation of commercially competitive proposals.
Communicate the technical and commercial benefits of Refroid's solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience in data centre infrastructure, commissioning, solution architecture, technical consulting, or solutions engineering.
Understanding of data centre power and cooling systems.
Knowledge of load banks, L1–L5 commissioning, IST, FAT/SAT, and functional testing is highly desirable.
Experience with liquid cooling, CDUs, or immersion cooling is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Familiarity with AI/HPC infrastructure and NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel platforms is preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site engagements.
