A Snapshot
As the Senior Manager, Cost APAC based in Johor Bahru, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Cost Management and working closely with the rest of the Development team, you will make your mark in a number of ways:
Responsible for implementing the strategic direction for the Construction Cost Management program whilst contributing to the process, improvement and standardization across multiple global geographies
Manage and overview the following Construction Cost Control Operations across multiple sites in conjunction with the appointed cost control teams (where applicable) and Vendor QS firms
Your Day to Day
Pre-contract cost estimation and benchmarking
Value Engineering and Cost/Function optimization workshops, from design inception through to project close out
Challenge and probe proposed design solution in order to drive best value
Contract Procurement and Award – Assist Construction & Procurement Department in issuing, reviewing and analyzing the Contractor bid returns
Actively take part in post-bid interviews with the goal of identifying the most complete bids which offer the best value. This is done through the bid level process, scope review, rate review and omission analysis
Producing Tender Reports to support bid review and recommendations
Provide on-going Cost Management and Cost Review support to the CM team during the currency of the construction period i.e. Estimates, Claim Review, Value Engineering
