Plant Controller

Location: Manufacturing Site (Production Environment) - Pune - Chakan
Full-time Report to General Manager
About the Role
As our Plant Controller, you are the financial steward of the manufacturing site. You oversee financial planning, reporting, and cost control, partnering closely with plant leadership to drive performance, efficiency, and profitability. You turn data into insights and ensure financial discipline in a dynamic production environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the plant’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
Monitor manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability; drive cost‑saving initiatives.
Ensure accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, year-end) in line with IFRS/local GAAP.
Support audits, compliance, and internal controls.
Act as a business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, providing financial insights for operational and strategic decisions.
Manage CAPEX, investment analysis, margin analysis, and scenario modeling.
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to optimize inventory and working capital.
Contribute to ERP and reporting tool improvements (SAP preferred).
What You Bring
Strong expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Analytical thinker with a process‑improvement mindset.
Strong communication skills; ability to explain finance topics to non-financial stakeholders.
High integrity, proactive drive, and the ability to work independently.
