MS Fabric Data Modeller

Role: Semantic Modeling and Business Intelligence
Design and maintain reusable enterprise semantic models for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, enabling governed self-service analytics and consistent business metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Define business-friendly entities, relationships, hierarchies, measures, KPIs, calculation logic, descriptions, and synonyms.
Optimize models for Direct Lake, Import, DirectQuery, or composite patterns based on solution requirements.
Partner with BI developers to centralize business logic and reduce duplicated calculations across reports.
Lead data discovery and modeling workshops with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, data architects, engineers, and reporting teams.
Translate business processes and analytical requirements into facts, dimensions, relationships, grain definitions, and reporting-ready structures.
Analyze and profile source-system data, identify gaps, and define transformation and integration requirements.
Prepare source-to-target mappings and communicate model decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and risks.
Provide design guidance and review support throughout development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
