Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications that support Zapulse’s data analysis and business solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code; participating in code reviews; integrating data sources and APIs; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. The role also involves troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, contributing to architecture decisions, and ensuring software quality, performance, and security. The Software Engineer will work closely with researchers and analysts to build tools and platforms that enable scalable, insight-driven decision making.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
Hands-on experience in Software Development, including designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining applications.
Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and standard development workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or automated testing is an advantage.
