Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Senior Software Engineer based in Coimbatore. The intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of back-end systems and tools that enable data processing, analytics, and reporting for client projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing object-oriented design patterns, debugging and optimizing existing applications, and collaborating with researchers and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role also involves participating in code reviews, documenting technical specifications, and learning best practices in software engineering within a research-focused environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
Skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for building scalable and secure services.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
Ability to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and work with cross-functional teams in an on-site setting.
Pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with databases, version control (such as Git), and basic software testing practices is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.
