We are looking for a Sous Chef, Pastry to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute, learn and grow while helping shape the experiences and impact we create across Costa Navarino.
In this position, you will oversee the preparation and production of high-quality pastry and bakery products, ensuring consistency, exceptional presentation and efficient daily operations, while supporting the pastry team and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Manage daily ordering of ingredients and supplies, ensuring consistent quality and cost-effective kitchen operations.
Implement quality controls and procedures across all shifts to maintain consistent, high-quality pastry production.
Organize staff duties and shift schedules, making effective use of available resources and support team development.
Maintain accurate daily inventory records and ensure resort procedures and management standards are consistently followed.
Ensure equipment issues are reported and addressed promptly, in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and DIVERSEY standards, while supporting additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management.
Requirements
Certified Pastry qualification from a recognized educational institution.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-standard restaurant, hotel or cruise environment, including experience with different styles of food service, such as à la carte and buffet.
Strong knowledge of bakery production, preparation and presentation standards.
Good knowledge of kitchen operations and food service procedures.
Good written and spoken English.
