About the Position
Khalsa Engineering Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Draftsman to join our Pune engineering team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings, reinforcement shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and structural steel fabrication drawings for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare RCC structural drawings for foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, and concrete cores.
Develop detailed rebar shop drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), cutting lists, and reinforcement placement drawings.
Prepare structural steel fabrication drawings, erection drawings, connection details, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Review structural and architectural drawings to identify discrepancies and coordination issues.
Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM modelers, and project teams.
Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcement steel, and structural steel.
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable Canadian standards.
Independently manage drawing revisions, technical submissions, and detailing quality.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of relevant structural drafting/detailing experience.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of Tekla Structures and/or Autodesk Revit.
Strong knowledge of RCC detailing, reinforcement detailing, BBS, and structural steel fabrication.
Ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and prepare construction-ready shop drawings.
Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills.
