SAP BTP BPA (Business Process Automation) Architect

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP BPA (Business Process Automation) Architect with 8+ years of experience in SAP technologies and enterprise automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing end-to-end automation solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Integration Suite, and related SAP cloud services. The role demands strong expertise in process automation, workflow management, document processing, integration architecture, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design enterprise-wide automation solutions using SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) and SAP BTP services.
Lead automation strategy, governance, and best practices across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Design and implement workflows, business rules, process visibility dashboards, and robotic process automations.
Develop intelligent automation solutions leveraging:
SAP Build Process Automation
SAP Workflow Management
SAP Business Rules
SAP Document Information Extraction (DOX)
SAP AI Services
Integrate SAP BPA solutions with:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP ECC
SuccessFactors
Ariba
Concur
Third-party applications
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define solution roadmaps.
Provide technical leadership during architecture reviews and project implementations.
Define security, authentication, authorization, and governance standards for SAP BTP solutions.
Lead performance optimization, scalability planning, and deployment strategies.
Mentor development teams and review solution designs, code, and automation workflows.
Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices within SAP BTP environments.
Key concerns:
SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) is a relatively specialized and emerging competency, resulting in a limited talent pool in the market.
The requirement demands expertise across multiple areas, including SAP BTP, SAP Build Process Automation, Joule, Workflow Management, Business Rules, Document Information Extraction (DOX), AI Services, and Integration Suite, which is uncommon in a single profile.
Most available SAP BTP professionals possess development or integration experience, but very few have end-to-end BPA Architect-level exposure covering enterprise automation strategy, governance, and solution architecture.
