Graphics Engineer – Real-Time Rendering & AR
Fully Remote | $120,000–$200,000 USD + Stock Options
Are you a Graphics Engineer passionate about pushing the boundaries of real-time rendering, mobile graphics and augmented reality?
I’m working with an innovative technology company operating at the intersection of gaming, immersive experiences and spatial computing, looking for a hands-on Graphics Engineer to help bring cutting-edge graphics technology from prototype to production.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging graphics problems, explore emerging rendering techniques and build high-performance experiences for mobile devices.
The Role
As a Graphics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and optimising real-time rendering technology for augmented reality mobile applications. You’ll work closely with senior technical leadership, engineering and creative teams to turn ambitious ideas into robust, production-ready features.
The role combines low-level graphics programming, GPU optimisation and experimentation with emerging technologies, including Gaussian splatting and spatial media.
Key Responsibilities
Build and optimise real-time rendering systems, particularly Gaussian splatting and spatial media technologies.
Develop low-level graphics systems and shaders using modern graphics APIs.
Profile and optimise GPU performance, memory usage, rendering quality and application stability across mobile devices.
Investigate rendering bottlenecks and make informed trade-offs between performance, visual quality and hardware compatibility.
Evaluate emerging graphics techniques and translate successful prototypes into production-ready features.
Collaborate with engineering, technology innovation, product and creative teams to deliver compelling visual experiences.
What We're Looking For
Strong experience in real-time computer graphics and rendering.
Solid knowledge of low-level graphics programming, shaders and GPU optimisation.
Proficiency in C# and experience with graphics APIs such as Metal, Vulkan or DirectX.
Experience shipping or optimising graphics-intensive applications.
Strong understanding of performance profiling, memory management and mobile hardware constraints.
Experience with Unity and mobile graphics is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Gaussian splatting, point-based rendering, neural rendering or related technologies would be a significant advantage.
A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a small, fast-moving engineering team.
What's on Offer?
Salary: $120,000–$200,000 USD, depending on experience.
