Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Domo, and Business Intelligence delivery teams. This role is responsible for ensuring Agile teams operate efficiently, predictably, and in alignment with organizational delivery standards while facilitating the successful execution of initiatives across multiple technology teams and stakeholder groups.
The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, promote Agile best practices, enforce workflow discipline, and drive continuous improvement across one or more technical delivery teams. In addition, this role will play a critical part in managing cross-team dependencies, coordinating work across interconnected teams, and proactively addressing risks and blockers that may impact delivery commitments.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who excels at dependency management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. Success in this role requires the ability to facilitate alignment among Product Owners, Developers, QA resources, Project Managers, business stakeholders, and leadership while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions in a complex data and analytics environment.
This position requires a Scrum Master who combines strong Agile expertise with sufficient technical knowledge of Data Warehouse, reporting, integration, and data platform concepts to effectively support delivery teams and facilitate technical discussions. The Scrum Master serves as a trusted partner to engineering teams and stakeholders, driving transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring delivery objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Team Facilitation
Serve as Scrum Master for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Domo, and Business Intelligence delivery teams, promoting Agile best practices and team effectiveness.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain prioritized backlogs, ensure work is appropriately defined and estimated, and support predictable delivery.
Administer and maintain Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and reporting to support effective planning, execution, and transparency.
Monitor Agile metrics, sprint commitments, release objectives, capacity, delivery forecasts, and overall delivery health; communicate progress, risks, and key insights to stakeholders and leadership.
Drive continuous improvement through team coaching, impediment removal, retrospective action planning, process optimization, and release readiness activities.
Cross-Team Dependency Management
Identify, track, and manage dependencies across Data Warehouse, Domo, Business Intelligence, integration, and application development teams.
Coordinate dependent workstreams to ensure alignment of priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
Facilitate resolution of cross-team blockers, resource constraints, and competing priorities impacting delivery.
Partner with technical leads and stakeholders to develop mitigation plans for dependency-related risks.
Escalate unresolved issues and critical dependencies to leadership when necessary to maintain delivery commitments.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong working relationships with Product Owners, Technology Leaders, and Business Stakeholders.
Facilitate alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
Provide clear and concise communication on delivery status, roadmap progress, key decisions, and organizational impacts.
Lead discussions that drive accountability, decision-making, and consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Data Warehouse & Domo Team Support
Support teams delivering Data Warehouse, Domo, reporting, analytics, and data integration solutions.
Apply working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, reporting platforms, APIs, and integrations to facilitate delivery discussions and identify potential challenges.
Help stakeholders understand the business and technical impacts of data-related constraints, dependencies, and architectural decisions.
Promote effective collaboration between data engineering, analytics, reporting, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience
8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or related role.
Experience supporting multiple Agile teams within a complex technology environment.
Experience working with data engineering teams focused on ETL pipelines, Data Warehouse modeling, and data mart development.
Experience supporting Domo development teams and business intelligence delivery initiatives strongly preferred.
Strong experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Scrum practices.
Demonstrated success managing dependencies, risks, and delivery coordination across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
Expertise using Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of SDLC processes, including Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
Working knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, SQL, data governance, and enterprise data architectures.
Experience supporting Business Intelligence and analytics teams, including familiarity with Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization platforms.
Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data movement processes, with the ability to facilitate technical discussions and identify delivery risks.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and continuously improve processes and team effectiveness.
Prior Project Manager or Technical Project Manager experience is a plus.
Understanding of the eDiscovery industry is a plus.
