The Role
At Valura, you’ll work directly with our infrastructure lead to build, operate, secure, and scale the technology infrastructure powering a regulated fintech platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You’ll work on real production infrastructure from day one—not just shadowing or observing. You’ll get exposure to AWS, self-hosted infrastructure, CI/CD, networking, observability, security, and real-time communication systems, while learning how infrastructure is designed and operated in a regulated financial environment.
What You’ll Do
AWS Infrastructure: Help manage and improve AWS infrastructure across networking, RDS, IAM, secrets management, and core services.
Self-Hosted Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain services running on Proxmox and Coolify.
Networking & Traffic Management: Configure routing, TLS, reverse proxies, and service exposure using Traefik.
CI/CD: Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines that enable faster and safer software deployments.
Observability: Improve our monitoring stack across metrics, logs, dashboards, alerts, and system health.
Real-Time Infrastructure: Support infrastructure powering real-time voice services using LiveKit/SIP.
Automation & IaC: Write Bash/Python scripts and infrastructure-as-code to automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual intervention.
Security: Implement practical security controls including least-privilege access, secret hygiene, patching, and secure configuration.
Incident Response: Help troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident debugging, and contribute to postmortems.
Documentation: Create and maintain clear runbooks, deployment guides, and infrastructure documentation.
What We’re Looking ForMust Have
Strong fundamentals in Linux, including shell, processes, systemd, file permissions, and basic networking.
Understanding of DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, routing, and how web services communicate.
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Comfortable using Git and working with version-controlled infrastructure/configuration.
Ability to script in Bash or Python.
Basic understanding of how modern web applications are deployed, exposed, monitored, and maintained.
Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tools.
Familiarity with Traefik, Proxmox, Coolify, LiveKit, or SIP.
Understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and production environments.
Prior experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
