Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SPM + CMDB Architect to lead solution architecture, design, and governance across Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The candidate will translate business requirements into scalable, integrated solutions while ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices, enterprise architecture, and data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end solution architecture and design across ServiceNow SPM and CMDB.
• Architect SPM capabilities covering Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM),
Resource Management, Strategic Planning, and Financial Management.
• Define CMDB architecture, CI class structures, relationships, data quality, reconciliation,
normalization, and governance.
• Design integrations across SPM, CMDB, other ServiceNow modules, and external enterprise
systems.
• Establish architectural standards, reusable solution patterns, platform governance, and
implementation best practices.
• Ensure alignment with CSDM, enterprise data models, and ServiceNow platform architecture.
• Lead technical design reviews, assess existing solutions, and drive scalability, performance, and
platform optimization.
• Guide development teams on configuration, customization, workflows, integrations, and
deployment without being limited to hands-on coding.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams on requirements, roadmaps,
solution decisions, and delivery risks.
• Lead solution assessments, modernization initiatives, and architectural troubleshooting across
SPM and CMDB.
Mandatory Skills
• 9+ years of overall IT experience with strong ServiceNow architecture experience.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow SPM and CMDB, with the ability to design solutions across both
areas.
• Deep understanding of Demand Management, PPM, Resource Management, Strategic Planning,
and Financial Management.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, reconciliation, normalization, data
quality, and governance.
• Experience designing enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID
Server.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, integration frameworks, and
reporting capabilities.
• Experience in solution design authority, architectural governance, and technical team guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or relevant SPM certifications.
• Knowledge of CSDM and enterprise CMDB governance.
• Exposure to ITSM, ITOM, and enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
