𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 (𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴) | 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗸𝗮, 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 | ₹𝟮𝟴–𝟯𝟲 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 + 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲
TNT Global is one of India's established makers of steel ladders and home-utility products: ladders in a dozen models, cloth drying stands, shoe and shelf racks, iron tables, bathroom accessories and plastic organisers, sold through the country's largest online marketplaces, modern retail chains and a national distributor network. Everything is made at our plant in Mundka Industrial Area, Delhi. We are now designing a lean greenfield plant that the ladder business will move into, and we want the person who will run both the plant we have and the plant we are building.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀
This is a genuine multi-process operation under one management, and the Plant Head owns all of it:
• Pipe cutting: automatic saws cutting MS and SS tube to a cut master, with cut-piece stock control by profile and length.
• Tube fabrication: bending, pressing, punching, drilling and MIG welding of ladder frames, rack frames and stand bodies.
• Powder coating: in-house pre-treatment and powder-coating line, plus outsourced finishing partners for overflow.
• Plastic injection moulding: PPCP step mouldings, boots, caps and fittings moulded in-house from fresh and recycled granule.
• Assembly: riveted assembly lines for ladders and racks, run on standard minutes per model with a live production tracker.
• Packing and dispatch: client-specific packing specs, marketplace labelling, finished-goods stores and daily dispatch.
• Stores, maintenance and quality: raw-material, cut-piece, component and FG stores; machine and utility maintenance; incoming, in-process and final inspection.
• Bought-out fittings, consumables and vendor-managed items.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗻
On numbers. A daily production tracker records every shift by floor and line, every ladder model has a measured standard minute, every supervisor and engineer is rated on a monthly scorecard built from those records, and every product has a cost sheet that reprices when a steel or polymer rate changes. The Plant Head inherits these systems and is expected to extend them to every process above.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲
• Run the plant: output, on-time dispatch, quality, cost per piece, safety and people, end to end, reporting to the Directors.
• Build the leadership layer: building in-charges for fabrication and assembly, process heads for powder coating and moulding, and the quality, maintenance, stores and plant-HR leads report to you.
• Take cost out: material yield, scrap recovery, polymer mix, powder consumption, energy, contract labour and overtime, reviewed monthly against the costing sheet.
• Design and deliver the greenfield plant from the manufacturing side: process flow, layout, equipment and MEP specifications, vendor selection, the move sequence and production continuity through the move, working with our lean consultants.
• Scale the plant for growth: capacity plans by season, new product industrialisation from drawing to standard minute, and the plant readiness that large retail and marketplace customers audit for.
• Make lean stick: 5S, kanban between processes, visual management, daily stand-ups and a kaizen cadence that continues after the consultants leave.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿
• BE/BTech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering; MBA (Operations) or a lean/Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
• 15–22 years in discrete consumer-durable or engineered-product manufacturing: furniture, appliances, fitness or storage equipment, two-wheeler or auto components, sheet-metal or tubular products.
• At least 5 years as Plant Head, Factory Manager or Head of Manufacturing of a multi-process plant that combined fabrication, a finishing line (powder coating, plating or paint) and assembly. Injection-moulding exposure is a strong plus.
• Has delivered a greenfield plant, a plant relocation or a full re-layout end to end, including equipment and MEP specification and vendor management.
• Has run a plant on standards and scorecards: time study, line balancing, OEE, cost per piece, and can show the numbers moved.
• Comfortable with marketplace and modern-retail customer expectations: packing specs, labelling, audits, fill rates.
• Leads a Hindi-speaking shop floor directly and reports in crisp written English; strong in Excel / Google Sheets and open to the data-driven way we run.
• Based in Delhi NCR or relocating before joining.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲
Dispatch on time against the order book through the peak season, reject and rework rates falling every quarter, cost per piece below the costing-sheet baseline, the full management layer in place and rated, and the new plant's design signed off and construction underway on schedule.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱
An annual scorecard from plant records: output against plan, on-time dispatch, reject rate, cost per piece against the costing sheet, safety incidents, retention of trained staff, and the greenfield milestones hit on their dates. Monthly reviews with the Directors on the same numbers.
𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Shop-floor leadership role, six-day week, day-shift base with night presence as the plan needs and extended hours during the move window.
