CAD detailer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CAD Detailer role based in the chennai, pune and Hyderabad . The CAD Detailer will prepare detailed shop drawings and layout plans for pre-engineered steel buildings, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and adherence to company standards and client specifications. Daily responsibilities include interpreting design and structural engineering drawings, creating and updating 2D/3D CAD models, and coordinating with engineers, project managers, and production teams to resolve design issues. The role involves checking and revising drawings based on feedback, maintaining drawing records and documentation, and ensuring that all detailing work complies with relevant codes, quality guidelines, and timelines. The CAD Detailer will also support continuous improvement by suggesting design or detailing optimizations that enhance efficiency and manufacturability.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar) and ability to produce precise 2D/3D structural and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of pre-engineered steel buildings, structural steel detailing, and familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, and translate them into clear, manufacturable shop details.
Attention to detail, accuracy in dimensioning and documentation, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple drawing packages.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, production, and project management teams.
Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or related field; specialized training in CAD/steel detailing is an advantage.
Experience in industrial or commercial building projects, preferably in PEB or structural steel, is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in the chennai , hyderabad, pune and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
