Building strong relationships with the Corporate through periodic ongoing interaction across the customer’s hierarchy goes as the first step in sourcing any business deal from the customer. Once a mutually acceptable opportunity is sighted, initial due diligence is carried out and an indicative term sheet is extended. Thereafter, term sheet is thoroughly negotiated over days to weeks.
Every proposal is reviewed by two levels of Risk: (a) ABFL Risk (b) ABFSG Risk. Business team discusses deal parameters with the RISK team and address their queries satisfactorily. After addressing RISK queries, team finalizes the Credit Appraisal Note & Executive Summary for the transaction. Every transaction post vetting by the two Risks team is presented to the Credit Committee which comprises CEO – ABFSG, CFO – Adyta Birla Nuvo & External Member with vast experience in Banking / Lending.
Post Internal approval on the transaction, Loan Document negotiation with clients commences which again is a challenging step as it involves coordination with several internal & external teams viz. Legal, Operations, Borrower’s Legal Counsel, Lenders Legal Counsel, Lenders Insurance Advisor, Lenders Engineer, Other Consortium Lenders, Regulatory Authorities etc.
