AI Engineer – E-commerce Systems Integration

This role focuses on designing and implementing an AI-enabled foundation for a growing e-commerce operation. The primary objective is to assess current business information, resources, and tools, and structure them into a cohesive system that supports ongoing workflows. The successful candidate will advise on suitable AI tools, integrations, and architecture, ensuring the solution is scalable and practical for a non-enterprise environment. Responsibilities
Evaluate existing business data, resources, and operational tools to identify integration opportunities
Design an AI-driven system architecture tailored to e-commerce workflows and business needs
Recommend and implement suitable AI tools and integrations for customer service, data analysis, and marketing automation
Develop solutions for automatic updating and connection of customer-service databases
Analyze business data to support marketing funnels and operational decision-making
Outline project phases, deliverables, and required access or data for effective evaluation and implementation
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and scalability
Provide documentation and guidance for ongoing system maintenance and future enhancements
Skills And Requirements
Proven experience in AI system integration, particularly within e-commerce environments
Strong knowledge of CRM, customer-support data, and marketing workflow automation
Proficiency with relevant AI tools, APIs, and cloud-based integration platforms
Ability to analyze complex business data and translate requirements into practical solutions
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, databases, and automation tools
Excellent communication skills for advising on architecture, tools, and implementation strategies
Experience outlining project phases, comparable work, and technical documentation
Ability to work independently and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
