I'm Wholesome is a Mumbai based culinary brand, founded in 2020 by chef Manpreet Dhody and Anupreet Dhody. We create curated food experiences: luxury grazing tables, gourmet gifting, event catering and the Wholesome Studio, a cooking and events space in Khar (West). We have designed bespoke tablescapes for leading luxury, lifestyle and corporate brands. Our team is close knit and founder led, and we value creativity, attention to detail and a warm client experience.
Role Description
The Junior Purchase and Inventory Manager will handle our daily purchasing and keep our inventory accurate, so the kitchen and events teams always have what they need, on time and at the right price. This is a full time role based in Mumbai, with regular market visits. Working days are Monday to Saturday, with immediate joining. Freshers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Handle daily purchasing and procurement requirements
2. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, rates, availability and deliveries
3. Prepare and maintain purchase orders, cost sheets and inventory records
4. Track stock levels, record incoming and outgoing items, and flag low stock in advance
5. Track market prices and help identify cost saving opportunities
6. Visit local markets, such as Crawford Market and Dadar, to compare rates and quality
7. Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams to ensure timely procurement
8. Maintain accurate documentation and follow internal purchasing procedures
Qualifications
1. A fresher or candidate with up to 1 year of experience in purchasing, inventory or a similar role
2. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets
3. Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills
4. Attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership
5. A proactive attitude, discipline and eagerness to learn
6. Comfortable speaking with vendors in Hindi; Marathi is a plus
