About the Role
CAFC is looking for a knowledgeable and articulate Copywriter with a strong grounding in regulatory compliance to join its content team. This role is for someone who understands the compliance landscape; the regulations, the obligations, the operational pressures, and the language that compliance professionals use every day. You will produce accurate, credible, and engaging content that resonates with a senior audience of compliance officers, legal professionals, regulators, and financial crime specialists, turning complex regulatory subject matter into content that informs, educates, and adds genuine value to the professionals who depend on it.
Key Responsibilities
Research, write, and edit high-quality content focused on regulatory compliance, AML, sanctions, data privacy, governance, and related financial crime topics
Produce content across a range of formats including articles, white papers, thought leadership pieces, regulatory summaries, event copy, certification content, and social media
Translate complex compliance and regulatory subject matter, including legislative developments, supervisory guidance, enforcement actions, and industry standards, into clear, accessible content for a professional audience
Work closely with the editorial, events, legal, and certifications teams to develop content that supports CAFC's programmes and strategic priorities
Contribute to the development of training and certification materials related to compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations, and financial crime prevention
Monitor and analyse regulatory developments across key jurisdictions, including FinCEN, FATF, the EU, and other major regulatory bodies, to ensure content remains timely and accurate
Support the creation of event-related content, including speaker profiles, session descriptions, regulatory briefings, and post-event summaries
Assist with content repurposing, adapting long-form regulatory content into shorter formats for social media, newsletters, and member communications
Maintain CAFC's editorial standards and tone of voice consistently across all content outputs
Collaborate with subject matter experts, compliance practitioners, and regulatory professionals to develop and refine content
Requirements
Proven copywriting or editorial experience with a focus on regulatory compliance, AML, financial crime, or a closely related field
Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations, and the international landscape governing financial crime, including BSA, FATF, GDPR, sanctions regimes, and related legislation
Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write with authority, clarity, and precision on complex regulatory topics
Experience producing long-form content such as regulatory summaries, white papers, or thought leadership articles for a professional or industry audience
Ability to work independently, manage multiple content projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently
Familiarity with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, or financial crime risk frameworks is highly desirable
Experience working with or alongside compliance officers, legal teams, regulators, or financial institutions is a strong advantage
Understanding of how content performs across digital platforms and the ability to adapt writing accordingly
Background in financial services, legal, regulatory, or professional services environments is an advantage
Formal qualifications in journalism, communications, law, finance, or a related discipline are desirable
What We Offer
A specialist writing role at the centre of the global compliance conversation
The opportunity to produce content that reaches and influences senior compliance professionals, regulators, and policymakers across the world
Exposure to CAFC's growing network of compliance practitioners, legal experts, and financial crime thought leaders
A collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment where regulatory knowledge and editorial quality are equally valued
Flexibility in how and where you work
Competitive compensation and professional development opportunities
