About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About the Role
CAFC is looking for a specialist Copywriter with a strong grounding in fraud, forensic accounting, or financial investigations to join its content team. This is not a generalist writing role. It is for someone who understands the mechanics of fraud schemes, the language of forensic analysis, and the regulatory and operational environment that financial crime professionals navigate every day. You will produce authoritative, precise, and engaging content that speaks credibly to a senior audience of investigators, compliance officers, regulators, and financial crime specialists, translating complex subject matter into content that informs, educates, and drives meaningful engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Research, write, and edit high-quality content focused on fraud, forensic accounting, financial investigations, and related financial crime topics
Produce content across a range of formats, including articles, white papers, thought leadership pieces, case study summaries, event copy, certification content, and social media
Translate technical fraud and forensic subject matter, including investigative methodologies, typologies, regulatory frameworks, and enforcement actions, into clear, compelling content for a professional audience
Work closely with the editorial, events, and certifications teams to develop content that supports CAFC's programmes and campaigns
Contribute to the development of training and certification materials related to fraud detection, forensic investigation, and financial crime prevention
Stay current on emerging fraud typologies, enforcement trends, forensic techniques, and regulatory developments to ensure content remains accurate and relevant
Support the creation of event-related content, including speaker profiles, session descriptions, panel briefings, and post-event summaries
Maintain CAFC's editorial standards and tone of voice across all content outputs
Assist with content repurposing like adapting long-form pieces into shorter formats for social media, newsletters, and member communications
Collaborate with subject matter experts, guest contributors, and industry professionals to develop and refine content
Requirements
Proven copywriting or editorial experience with a focus on fraud, forensic accounting, financial crime, or a closely related field
Strong working knowledge of fraud typologies, forensic investigation methodologies, and the regulatory environment governing financial crime
Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write with authority, clarity, and precision on complex technical topics
Experience producing long-form content such as white papers, research reports, or thought leadership articles for a professional or industry audience
Ability to work independently, manage multiple content projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently
Familiarity with AML, sanctions, financial investigations, or compliance frameworks is highly desirable
Experience working with or alongside investigators, forensic accountants, legal professionals, or compliance teams is a strong advantage
Understanding of how content performs across digital platforms and the ability to adapt writing accordingly
Background in financial services, professional services, law enforcement, or a regulatory environment is an advantage
Formal qualifications in journalism, communications, finance, law, or a related discipline are desirable
What We Offer
A specialist writing role at the forefront of the global conversation on fraud and financial crime
The opportunity to produce content that reaches and influences senior professionals across financial institutions, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies
Exposure to CAFC's growing network of fraud investigators, forensic specialists, and financial crime thought leaders
A collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment where subject matter expertise is genuinely valued
Flexibility in how and where you work
Competitive compensation and professional development opportunities
