Cloud Network Engineer

Seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support the design, administration, security, and optimization of multi-cloud infrastructure environments. This role will focus on cloud networking operations across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), while providing critical support for Palo Alto network security technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud-native networking, firewall administration, hybrid connectivity, network security, and enterprise cloud operations. This individual will work closely with cloud architects, security teams, infrastructure engineers, and agency stakeholders to support expanding cloud modernization initiatives.

Manage And Support Networking Services Across

Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
Virtual Networks (VNets)
Route tables
Network peering
Load balancers
Network gateways
DNS services
Monitor and optimize cloud network performance and availability.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues across cloud and hybrid environments.
Palo Alto Network Security Administration
Administer Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls using Panorama.
Develop and maintain firewall policies and security rules.
Support secure connectivity between state agencies, cloud environments, and on-premises infrastructure.
Analyze and remediate security findings, vulnerabilities, and network incidents.
Collaborate with enterprise security teams to ensure compliance with state security standards.
Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Support
Maintain secure cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-datacenter connectivity.
Support VPN, IPSec tunnel, and routing implementations.
Assist with migration initiatives from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.
Implement network segmentation and zero-trust security principles where appropriate.

The ideal candidate is a cloud networking professional who combines deep networking expertise with hands-on operational experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. They will have extensive experience administering Palo Alto firewalls, supporting secure cloud connectivity, and helping enterprise organizations modernize infrastructure through cloud adoption and migration initiatives.
This role is well-suited for an engineer capable of working independently while collaborating across infrastructure, security, and application teams in a large-scale government environment.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
