About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Honda Aircraft Company, LLC. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's quality, compliance, and operational performance objectives. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Quality Engineering combined with Industrial Engineering methods, data analytics, SAP/business systems administration, and process improvement leadership. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of analyzing complex quality data, supporting audit processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the division. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A minimum of two years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar domain is required. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation. Working knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, or comparable ERP/reporting tools is strongly preferred. The ability to interpret quality data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly is essential. Candidates must also possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and communicate recurring quality and compliance data utilizing tools such as SAP, Business Objects, Excel, and standard presentation formats to support business reviews, leadership decision-making, and corrective action management.
Serve as the divisional subject matter expert for SAP quality-related processes, system access, SharePoint administration, and digital workflow support, ensuring effective system utilization and compliance with role-based access controls.
Identify, generate, coordinate, and support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, enhancing compliance, and improving quality performance across the division.
Support core Quality Engineering duties, including audit readiness, leading or participating in audits, and coordinating division-level business planning inputs related to headcount, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions, monitor quality metrics, and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, audit findings, and continuous improvement initiatives to support transparency and accountability.
Assist in training team members on quality systems, data analysis tools, and process improvements to foster a culture of quality excellence.
