Position Title:
Campus Events/Logistics Worker (Accepting Applications)
Job Description:
Perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Event set-ups/breakdowns, including tents, stages, floor covering, barricades, tables, chairs etc.
Office moves, including furniture, file cabinets, etc., ensuring that appropriate moving procedures are followed to prevent damage.
Dormitory moves including beds/bunking beds, desks, chests, etc.
May be asked to assist any other department within the campus community and will be required to perform any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director. Must be willing and able to work independently without supervision.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Must attain on-site training within 30 days of hire or have proof of previous training in event set-up/ packing/wrapping/moving/loading of furniture and safety training on proper lifting.
A uniform, issued by MSMU will be required.
Job Hours
Hours will vary depending upon University events but will typically range between 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with varying weekly schedules.
Overtime during weekdays, weekends and holidays will be required as needed.
A weekend rotation schedule will be implemented depending upon staffing, workloads and University events.
Any schedule may be adjusted as needed and some overnights will be required with inclement weather, university events or campus emergencies.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and down stairs.
Must be able to work in all types of weather.
Must be able to work well as a team.
Salary/Benefits
Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
