About the Role
Choice One Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Land Development to join our team in our Loveland office. In this role, you'll work alongside talented professionals to create projects that make a lasting difference in the communities we serve while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
Compensation
2-5 years of relevant experience: Total annual compensation is expected to range from $100,000 - $112,000, including base salary and anticipated profit-sharing bonuses. Exempt employees are also eligible to earn straight-time overtime pay, which may increase total annual compensation above the stated range.
What You'll Do
Help bring development visions to life by transforming land into residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
Plan and design land development projects including lot layout, roadway design, grading, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, and site improvements.
Collaborate with land developers, surveyors, and multidisciplinary project teams to create practical and innovative development solutions.
Help developers navigate zoning, entitlement, and approval processes to transform undeveloped property into successful residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Support land planning efforts by evaluating development opportunities, site constraints, utility considerations, traffic flow, and stormwater management strategies.
Work on a diverse portfolio of residential subdivisions, commercial developments, industrial projects, and mixed-use communities.
Partner with project teams across multiple offices while continuing to develop your technical expertise, leadership skills, and client relationships.
What You'll Bring
Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Minimum of 2 years of land development experience.
Understanding of land development principles including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and site design.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
Ability to work onsite in our Loveland, OH office.
Continuous learning mindset and desire for professional growth and development.
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience coordinating with developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
