About the Role
Choice One Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation to join our team in our Loveland office. In this role, you'll work alongside talented professionals to create projects that make a lasting difference in the communities we serve while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
Compensation
2-5 years of relevant experience: Total annual compensation is expected to range from $100,000 - $112,000, including base salary and anticipated profit-sharing bonuses. Exempt employees are also eligible to earn straight-time overtime pay, which may increase total annual compensation above the stated range.
What You'll Do
Help design and improve the roads, intersections, roundabouts, multi-use paths, streetscapes, and other transportation infrastructure that connect communities throughout Ohio.
Lead roadway design and plan production efforts for transportation projects serving local municipalities, counties, and ODOT using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Collaborate with municipalities, counties, ODOT, contractors, and project partners to develop practical transportation solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency, and long-term value.
Prepare construction plans, quantities, cost estimates, and bid documents that support successful project delivery.
Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals for roadway and transportation improvement projects.
Work alongside engineers, surveyors, and industry professionals to deliver transportation projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life for the communities we serve.
What You'll Bring
Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Minimum of 2 years experience in transportation engineering, roadway design, public utilities, traffic engineering, or related fields.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
Ability to work onsite in our Loveland, OH office.
Continuous learning mindset and desire for professional growth and development.
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience working with ODOT and local municipalities.
Experience preparing roadway plans, quantities, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
Experience developing project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
