You will:

What You Will Do
• Safely operate assigned vessels in accordance with maritime regulations and company procedures
• Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival vessel inspections
• Ensure passenger safety and compliance with all safety procedures
• Supervise and direct deckhands and crew members
• Maintain accurate vessel logs and operational reports
• Monitor vessel condition and report maintenance concerns
• Perform basic vessel troubleshooting and identify mechanical issues
• Communicate effectively with Operations and other departments
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and unexpected situations
• Provide professional and courteous service to passengers
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
All You Will Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Valid Belize Port Authority Captain's License
• Minimum C2 Captain's License
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience operating passenger vessels
• Experience supervising or leading crew members
• Knowledge of local waterways and navigational routes
• Experience with diesel engines, marine mechanical systems, and vessel troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of vessel maintenance and preventative maintenance practices
Skills and Knowledge
• Strong vessel handling and navigational skills
• Knowledge of diesel engines and marine propulsion systems
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical issues
• Understanding of routine vessel inspections and maintenance requirements
