About the role
Smard Art is the world’s leading Black art retail brand. Through our direct-to-consumer channels and major retail partners, including TJX (HomeGoods, HomeSense, Marshalls, TK Maxx, and Winners) and Walmart, we serve customers across the globe.
This is a performance role. You will be on camera, selling Smard Art products live to a real audience, and bringing the energy and storytelling that turn viewers into customers. If you are confident, coachable, and love being in front of people, this role was made for you.
Role Summary
Location: Onsite, 1737 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Employment type: Independent Contractor
Pay: Starting at $20/hr + commission
In this role, you will
Host TikTok Live sessions to showcase and sell art products in real time
Engage viewers with energy, confidence, and a professional on-camera presence
Drive sales through storytelling, product demonstrations, and clear calls to action
Answer viewer questions and address customer concerns during live broadcasts
Present product information and promotions accurately
Follow direction from the production team and adapt quickly between streams and formats
Create short-form TikTok content to support live selling campaigns
Stay current with TikTok trends, platform updates, and best practices
Build audience loyalty through consistent engagement and community interaction
Escalate customer service and post-sale inquiries when needed
Represent the Smard Art brand professionally at all times
We’re looking for someone who
Has experience in live selling, livestream hosting, retail sales, outside sales, or another customer-facing sales role
Has a strong understanding of TikTok culture and live commerce
Communicates in excellent English
Is confident, engaging, and comfortable speaking to large audiences and holding attention for extended periods
Presents a professional appearance suitable for brand representation
Is reliable, self-motivated, and results-oriented
Approach to the role
You take direction well and apply feedback fast. You are coachable and do not take notes personally.
You do the homework. You know the products, understand who you are selling to, and show up prepared.
You bring the same energy to every session, even on shift four of the week
You adapt when the product, format, or direction changes mid-stream
You take ownership of your performance and keep improving your craft
