[PUB-TED] Specialist/Sr Specialist (9-months)

[What the role is]
The incumbent will provide coverage for the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during her maternity/shared parental leave, supporting applied research, technology translation and deployment in emerging and cross-cutting technology domains.
[What you will be working on]
Main Responsibilities:
Support the SWR 2 team in keeping abreast of global technological trends and developing technical expertise in decarbonisation and carbon management.
Assist in the initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals.
Support the management of ongoing R&D projects to ensure they meet objectives, deliverables and timelines.
Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery.
Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway.
Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics.
Support the management of key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders.
Assist in the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives
[What we are looking for]
Degree in Engineering - At least 2 years' relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or expertise in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation
Good writing and communication skills
Self-motivated with a passion for building technical expertise
Strong analytical and systematic thinking - Works well independently and is a resourceful team player
