Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Process Safety Engineer to support process safety and risk engineering activities for projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, or EPC industries.
The ideal candidate should have experience in process hazard analysis, safety studies, consequence analysis, and compliance with international safety standards.
Mandatory Skills
Knowledge of API and NFPA standards.
Experience in at least one of the following: HAZOP, HAZID, What-if, LOPA, or SIL assessments.
Experience with at least one process safety software tool: PHAST, ALOHA, PHA-Pro, or similar.
Knowledge of Fire & Gas Mapping, Fireproofing, and Escape, Evacuation & Rescue studies.
Experience in process safety or risk engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, What-if, LOPA, and SIL assessments.
Review safety studies, relief system designs, and consequence analysis.
Ensure compliance with international standards, including API, NFPA, OSHA, IEC, and ISO.
Support Fire & Gas Mapping, Fireproofing, and Escape, Evacuation & Rescue studies.
Prepare safety philosophies, procedures, and other process safety deliverables.
Provide technical guidance on hazardous area classification and loss prevention requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams during project execution.
Support safety audits, technical reviews, and client meetings.
Required Qualifications
B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
4–10 years of experience in Process Safety or Risk Engineering.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, or EPC industries.
Knowledge of API and NFPA standards.
Hands-on experience with relevant process safety software.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred: LNG industry experience and availability to join within 15 days.
