Head of Arabic Department (HOD) -Lower Primary-National Curriculum-Immediate Hir

Egypt Education Platform is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Department (HOD) – Arabic, Lower Primary Stage, specializing in the Egyptian National Curriculum for the academic year 2026–2027. The successful candidate will lead and support the Arabic teaching team, ensure effective curriculum implementation, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning to enhance students’ Arabic language skills and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the Arabic Department for the Lower Primary Stage, ensuring effective implementation of the Egyptian National Curriculum.
Support and guide Arabic teachers through classroom observations, constructive feedback, and professional development.
Monitor students’ academic progress and assessment results to identify learning gaps and implement improvement plans.
Ensure effective lesson planning, assessment practices, and teaching strategies that meet students’ learning needs.
Develop students’ reading, writing, comprehension, and language skills through engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
Coordinate departmental meetings, academic planning, and curriculum-related initiatives.
Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents to support students’ academic development.
Ensure compliance with school policies, academic standards, and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Education, or a related field.
Previous teaching experience in Arabic at the Lower Primary Stage.
Previous experience in a leadership or departmental coordination role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Egyptian National Curriculum and Arabic language teaching methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to monitor academic performance, support teachers, and improve learning outcomes.
