We are looking for a Corporate Communications Junior Specialist to join the foodora Communications and Public Affairs team on our journey to always deliver fast, affordable, and amazing experiences.
This is an entry-level position designed for an enthusiastic individual eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Working under direct supervision, you will support the day-to-day execution of operational PR campaigns, media monitoring, and administrative coordination for our Central and Eastern Europe cluster (Austria, Hungary, and Czechia). The role is based in Prague.
Key Responsibilities
Operational PR Support & Creative Support: Assist in drafting routine PR content, press releases, localizing regional updates, and preparing basic briefing materials and Q&As under the guidance of senior team members. Actively contribute to agency brainstorming sessions, helping pitch creative story angles and identify new communication opportunities across CEE markets.
Media Monitoring & Tracking: Conduct daily media and social media tracking, maintain coverage logs, compile campaign performance data, and update reporting dashboards across the three markets.
Agency & Event Logistics: Help coordinate timelines, logistics, and document sharing with local PR agencies and internal teams.
Crisis Administrative Support: Assist in monitoring potential reputational risks and maintaining emergency contact lists and crisis documentation.
Spokesperson & Media Preparation: Help prepare background briefing documents, talking points, and Q&As, as well as coordinate scheduling for company spokespersons ahead of media interviews, speaking engagements, and internal events.
LinkedIn & Social Thought Leadership: Draft LinkedIn posts for local leadership and coordinate the execution of executive content, ensuring brand alignment and managing approval workflows across internal and external touchpoints.
Experience: Fundamental knowledge of PR and communications principles, typically gained through a university degree in Communications/PR/Journalism, an internship, or equivalent entry-level experience.
Problem Solving & Execution: Ability to solve routine tasks by applying established processes, guidelines, and clear instructions from management.
Autonomy: Comfortable working under direct supervision while taking ownership of assigned execution steps.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Czech and English is required, proficiency in one other local language from the cluster (German or Hungarian) is an advantage.
System Knowledge: Basic familiarity with tools like Slack, GSuite, and modern digital tools. Willingness to experiment with modern productivity and AI tools for research and drafting.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning.
