The Team Lead, Unit Trust Product Management is responsible for formulating and implementing the unit trust product strategy and business plans to achieve financial targets. This role involves leading the due diligence and product evaluation process for onboarding unit trust funds, managing relationships with Unit Trust Management Companies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines. The Team Lead will also oversee the development of product marketing strategies, provide market feedback, and ensure the team's adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities (Functional):
• Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute fund strategies and business plans across online and offline channels to meet financial targets.
• Product Due Diligence and Evaluation: Lead the fund due diligence and product evaluation process in collaboration with Fund Managers for onboarding new funds - public market or private market.
• Relationship Management: Manage and enhance business relationships with asset managers, Unit Trust Management Companies, and internal stakeholders, including HLB SG, to secure quality products.
• Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the Wealth Marketing team to formulate and implement effective product marketing strategies to drive Unit Trust business growth.
• Market Analysis and Feedback: Provide regular feedback on research developments and keep track on the market trends in the local and regional financial services market that helps in product designing.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Implement and enforce rules and guidelines to ensure compliance with all internal and external legal, compliance, and risk management requirements.
• Training and Development: Collaborate with Investment Counsellors to ensure frontline staff receive appropriate initial and ongoing training.
• Product Program and Policy Updates: Oversee the update of product programs and policies to improve sales processes and meet regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership (for Team Lead): Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Business Development: Build up the bank's Unit Trust products fee income, assets under management (AUM), and overall sales.
Organizational:

Education/Qualification:
▪ Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Banking, Investment, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
▪ Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management,
Financial/Investment field, with demonstrated leadership experience for Team Head role.
Skills:
▪ Strong interpersonal skills: personable, approachable, and collaborative.
▪ Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
▪ Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
▪ In-depth knowledge of unit trust products and the financial market.
