- Have built or improved recommendation or personalization systems in production
- Know how to evaluate recommendations with offline metrics and live experiments
- Have tied recommendation changes to outcomes like click-through, conversion, or retention
- Can explain tradeoffs between relevance, diversity, and freshness to product and business teams
Bonus if you've worked in regulated industries, or across on-prem and multi-cloud stacks without favoring a vendor.
