L1 Hardware Technician

Role Description The L1 Hardware Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Defence Colony. This role involves installing and configuring computer hardware and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, and printers, according to company and client standards. The technician will perform routine diagnostics, identify basic hardware faults, and carry out repairs or replacements as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to service requests, providing first-level technical support, documenting issues and resolutions, and escalating complex problems to senior team members when required. The technician will also assist in maintaining inventory of hardware components, ensure proper cabling and connections, and support periodic device health checks to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Hardware Installation and configuration skills for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Hardware Support and Troubleshooting abilities for common device and component issues
Printer Support experience, including setup, configuration, and basic repair
Technical Support skills for handling user queries, diagnosing issues, and providing clear guidance
Basic understanding of operating systems and common office applications
Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to follow standard procedures
Ability to work on-site in Defence Colony and manage time across multiple service requests
Relevant technical certification or diploma in hardware, IT, or a related field is preferred
