Manage accounting activities that support the Woodward financial close, including reviewing transactions, preparing and recording journal entries, and preparing month-end statements. Analyze balance sheet variances, complete account reconciliations, and prepare monthly plant cost variance analyses. Process distributions, assessments, and product costing, and prepare local key performance indicator reports for review.
Support asset accounting activities, including componentization, retirement, and closure. Establish and follow departmental processes and procedures that meet internal control requirements. Work with the Internal Controls Department to identify control gaps or process needs, assess adherence to established procedures, and develop and implement corrective actions when required.
Assist with internal and external audits, annual budget preparation, and the yearly spare parts review. Respond to reporting requests from corporate and local stakeholders, communicate relevant financial information clearly, and participate in goal-setting and safety leadership activities.
