About The Role
As a Software Developer at DeveloperLook LTD, you will help design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services. You will work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance professionals, and fellow developers to turn business and user requirements into well-structured technical solutions. This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, writing maintainable code, and learning new tools and approaches as project needs evolve. You will contribute throughout the development process, participate in technical discussions, and help identify opportunities to improve performance, usability, and reliability. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing independent work with active collaboration and will communicate progress, risks, and questions clearly. Depending on team and project requirements, work may include developing user-facing features, supporting backend services, integrating APIs, improving existing systems, and investigating reported defects.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience developing software in one or more programming languages and familiarity with common development practices are required. You should understand core concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented or functional programming, debugging, and version control. Experience working with databases, APIs, automated testing, and collaborative software development workflows is an asset. The ability to read technical documentation, assess unfamiliar code, and explain technical decisions to colleagues is important. We value curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a willingness to receive feedback. Candidates should be able to organize their work, manage competing priorities, and contribute respectfully within a cross-functional team. Equivalent experience and transferable skills will be considered.
Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain software features in accordance with agreed requirements, coding standards, and architectural guidelines. Write clear, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code, and document technical decisions where appropriate. Collaborate with colleagues to clarify user needs, estimate development effort, identify dependencies, and plan achievable milestones. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback that supports quality, security, and knowledge sharing. Develop and maintain unit, integration, or other automated tests to help prevent regressions and improve confidence in releases. Troubleshoot defects, investigate performance issues, and contribute to timely, well-documented resolutions. Work with deployment and support processes to release changes safely and monitor their behavior after launch. Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, development workflows, and product experiences. Communicate progress and potential risks early, follow applicable security and privacy practices, and keep current with relevant technologies and engineering methods.
