About The Role
As a Software Engineer at BairesDev, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications for client projects. You will work with cross-functional teams that may include engineers, designers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists. Depending on project requirements, you may help build new features, enhance existing platforms, integrate services, or improve application performance and reliability. This role calls for sound engineering judgment, a commitment to quality, and the ability to communicate clearly in a distributed, collaborative environment. Qualifications
Candidates should have professional experience in software development and a strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and common software design principles. Experience with one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or similar is valuable. Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, databases, version control, and automated testing is also beneficial. You should be comfortable reading and contributing to existing code, investigating issues, and explaining technical decisions to both technical and nontechnical colleagues. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem-solving are important. Experience working with agile teams, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or distributed systems is an advantage. Equivalent professional experience and demonstrated skills may be considered in place of specific credentials.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software features in line with project requirements and established engineering standards. Collaborate with product and technical partners to clarify requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver solutions that support user and business needs. Write readable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback while incorporating input from teammates. Create and maintain unit, integration, and other automated tests to help prevent regressions and support dependable releases. Diagnose defects and performance concerns, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes. Contribute to technical documentation, development estimates, and planning discussions. Work with deployment and operations teams to support releases and monitor application behavior when needed. Identify opportunities to improve code quality, development workflows, security, and system performance. Communicate progress, risks, and blockers promptly, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and delivery.
