About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About The Company
Catalis Tax & CAMA, Inc. provides technology and services that support tax assessment and property valuation organizations. Our work helps public-sector teams manage property information and deliver essential assessment services to their communities. At our Rhode Island location, staff support the accurate handling of assessment records and provide responsive assistance to customers and colleagues. We value careful work, dependable service, and collaboration across departments.
About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Professional to support the Rhode Island office. In this role, you will enter assessment information into Market Drive Software, organize and maintain records, and assist customers in person, by phone, and by email. You will also provide administrative support to the Appraiser and Lead Assessor, help manage schedules, and contribute to the smooth daily operation of the office.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys accurate, structured work and is comfortable balancing data entry with customer service and general office responsibilities. You will work with paper and electronic records, help review information for completeness, and communicate with staff to resolve questions or discrepancies. The ability to protect confidential information and remain professional in a public-facing environment is essential.
Qualifications
Applicants should have basic computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Previous experience entering or organizing data, maintaining records, or supporting an office is helpful. Candidates should be comfortable learning and using software applications, following established procedures, and operating common office equipment such as a copier, scanner, postage machine, and calculator. Experience with property assessment software or Apex sketching software is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is important.
Strong attention to detail is required, along with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. The successful candidate will have clear written and verbal communication skills, a courteous approach to customer service, and the ability to multitask while keeping work organized. You should be able to operate a multiline phone system, use good judgment when handling confidential records, and work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Responsibilities
Prepare, compile, sort, and organize documents for data entry and for use by the Appraiser and Lead Assessor. Transfer information from paper forms into computer files and enter assessment details into Market Drive Software. Review records for errors, missing information, or inconsistencies, and follow up to help resolve discrepancies. Sketch properties using Apex software, as needed, and verify and validate sales information.
Maintain an orderly filing system and safeguard confidential customer information. Use office equipment to support daily administrative work. Respond to customer questions in person, by phone, and by email, providing helpful and professional service or directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member. Field interdepartmental questions, support the Appraiser and Lead Assessor, set up schedules, make appointments, and complete other related tasks as assigned.
Benefits
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to public-facing assessment services while developing experience in data entry, records management, customer support, and office administration. You will work with a team whose day-to-day work supports assessment operations in the Rhode Island community. Specific compensation, benefits, and employment details can be discussed during the hiring process.
Equal Opportunity
Catalis Tax & CAMA, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities. Employment decisions are based on job-related qualifications, skills, and business needs. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and do not tolerate discrimination or harassment in the workplace. Applicants who need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process may contact the company to discuss their needs.
