About The Role
VivSoft Technologies LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. In this role, you will work with teammates and stakeholders to understand requirements, turn them into maintainable technical solutions, and help ensure that delivered software is dependable and easy to support. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities while keeping quality and user needs in view.
You will contribute across the development lifecycle, from exploring technical options and reviewing proposed designs to writing code, investigating issues, and documenting outcomes. This position is suited to someone who takes ownership of assigned work, asks questions when requirements are unclear, and welcomes constructive feedback. You will be expected to communicate progress and risks promptly and collaborate respectfully with colleagues across different functions.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience, relevant training, or demonstrated project work may also be considered. Candidates should have experience developing software in one or more programming languages and a working understanding of common software development practices.
Qualified candidates can explain technical concepts clearly, work through problems methodically, and produce code that is readable and maintainable. Familiarity with version control, debugging, testing, and collaborative development workflows is valuable. Experience with databases, APIs, cloud platforms, automated testing, or modern application frameworks is an advantage, but the specific tools may vary by project. The ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and apply sound engineering judgment is important.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and maintain application features according to functional requirements and technical standards. Work with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to clarify user needs, assess technical considerations, and break work into achievable tasks. Participate in code reviews by offering and receiving constructive feedback, and follow established practices for code quality, security, performance, and documentation.
Investigate defects and operational issues, identify underlying causes, and help deliver effective fixes. Create or update unit, integration, and other appropriate tests to support reliable releases. Document technical decisions, implementation details, and support information so that solutions can be understood and maintained by the broader team. Communicate progress, dependencies, and potential risks, and contribute to planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement. Protect confidential information and follow applicable company policies and project requirements.
