About The Company
Cynet Systems Inc. is a technology staffing and workforce solutions company founded in 2010 and headquartered in the Washington, DC metro area. The company serves Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and enterprise organizations across the United States and Canada. Its services span IT, engineering, life sciences, clinical, and professional staffing, supported by a recruitment operation serving North America and Asia. As a nationally and locally certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Cynet Systems is committed to helping clients build effective teams and supporting professionals as they grow their careers. The organization holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 certifications, as well as SOC 2 Type II certification.
About The Role
Cynet Systems is seeking a skilled engineer to support and enhance Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. This opportunity is suited to a professional with experience across PLM technologies and modern Java development, who is comfortable balancing production support with configuration and enhancement work. Centric PLM experience is preferred. The successful candidate will help maintain reliable production operations, resolve incidents, and contribute to development stories within an Agile environment.
The role requires participation in weekday and weekend production support shifts aligned with Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours. The anticipated pay range is $75.00 to $80.00 per hour. Actual compensation may depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and work location.
Qualifications
Candidates should have practical experience with PLM technologies; experience with Centric PLM is preferred. A strong background in Java, including Java 11, 17, or 21, and familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices architectures are expected. Candidates should be comfortable developing and working with RESTful APIs, JPA, and Hibernate, and have experience with Azure SQL and MongoDB.
The ideal professional can investigate complex technical issues, communicate findings clearly, and produce clean, maintainable, efficient code. Experience in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and Agile software delivery is valuable. Applicants should be willing to participate in scheduled weekday and weekend support coverage during PST hours and collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore colleagues.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot production incidents, assess business and technical impact, perform root cause analysis, and carry out appropriate resolution steps. Document incident findings, fixes, and workarounds to support timely resolution and reduce repeat issues. Establish and maintain a comprehensive Known Error Database (KEDB) covering recurring and unique incidents, making information useful and accessible to the teams responsible for ongoing support.
Guide and support the offshore team in developing incident management knowledge and capability. Work on PLM configurations and deliver minor enhancement development stories, applying sound engineering practices throughout implementation. Create and maintain code that is readable, reliable, and aligned with established standards. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, and collaborate with colleagues to communicate progress, address blockers, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Benefits
Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; a health savings account (HSA); short- and long-term disability insurance; life and AD&D insurance; supplemental insurance plans; identity theft protection; pet insurance; employee wellness programs; an employee assistance program (EAP); and career growth and professional development opportunities. Paid sick leave is provided where required by applicable state or local law.
Benefit eligibility, accrual rates, and usage limits may vary according to employment status, length of service, and work location.
