About the role
Help QBYSS explore practical applications of machine learning in research, data analysis and internal workflows. You’ll build small prototypes, evaluate their performance and work with colleagues to decide where AI adds measurable value.
What you’ll do
· Prepare and clean approved datasets for experiments and analysis.
· Build and compare baseline models for clearly defined business problems.
· Evaluate results against agreed metrics and document limitations.
· Develop small Python prototypes and integrate approved AI services where useful.
· Work with colleagues to assess usefulness, data handling and ongoing maintenance.
What we’re looking for
· Working knowledge of Python and basic machine learning concepts.
· Understanding of training, validation, overfitting and model evaluation.
· Relevant coursework or projects using data and machine learning libraries.
· Ability to explain findings clearly and investigate unexpected results.
Useful but not essential
· Experience with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
· Exposure to LLM APIs, information retrieval or model deployment.
