Role Description This is a full-time, remote Shopify Developer role. The Shopify Developer will build, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts, ensuring a seamless and secure shopping experience for customers. Responsibilities include developing and modifying Shopify themes, integrating apps and third-party services, optimizing site performance, and implementing responsive designs for various devices. The role involves collaborating with design, content, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as troubleshooting issues, performing regular updates, and ensuring best practices for UX, accessibility, and SEO. The Shopify Developer will also contribute to ongoing improvements in workflow, documentation, and development standards.
Qualifications
Strong Shopify development skills, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and app integration.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
Experience with eCommerce best practices, including payment gateways, checkout flows, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, web analytics tools, and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to translate business and design requirements into clean, maintainable code and scalable solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience developing or maintaining Shopify stores or other eCommerce platforms is highly beneficial.
